Computer Use

Both the main Somerset County Library and the Conemaugh Township Library branch offer computers in the library for use by the public.  In order to use a computer, you will need a library card.  Ask staff at the Desk for assistance in getting a library card and checking out a computer for use inside the library. Library computers are equipped with Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating systems and provide access to use Microsoft Office products, online library resources, and the Internet.

Additionally, public WiFi is available inside the libraries for use by patrons who wish to access the Internet from their own laptops, smart phones, or other devices while visiting our libraries.  Upon connecting to the library’s WiFi, you will be asked to review and accept the Somerset County Library’s Acceptable Use guidelines which will appear when you open your browser after attempting to connect to our wireless network.  Once you accept the usage guidelines, you will be able to access the Library’s online resources and the Internet from your own equipment through the library’s wireless network.
