Will you consider hosting a PAX Academic Exchange student in your home? Come to Somerset County Library on Tuesday, August 7 at 6 pm to learn more about the PAX Academic Exchange and what it means to become a host family.
Right now, a host family is needed for Janna from Germany. She loves volleyball and any kind of sport. She also likes going to school (Yes! How about that!). She hopes to someday be a doctor. Janna would be happy to be in a home with pets and she hopes to become part of an American family. Will you consider hosting?
Host families provide a warm welcoming environment, meals and a bed to sleep in. Students come with spending money and health insurance. They have a sincere desire to experience and better undersatnd America by participating in real-life activities as a student and family member. Wouldn’t you love to share your little corner of America with Jenna?
Through person-to-person exchange, PAX students gain a more well-rounded understanding of the U.S. while learning to be more reflective about their own country. And your family gains an appreciation of another country and culture too. Invite an international student into your home–and watch how you all grow! Learn more at this informational seminar or contact Martha Mitchell at 800-555-6211, ext. 228.
