Program & Services Associate
Somerset County Library seeks a new team member who is both detail-oriented and service-oriented to join our team as a part-time (desired minimum of 18 hours per week to a maximum of 34 hours per week) Program & Services Associate specializing in:

assisting with the administration of the library's Internet Lending service (working in the T-Mobile business portal to activate and deactivate service for individual SIM cards, tracking payments, generating reports, etc.),
- providing technical support services for people using the Internet Lending Service, and
- providing Digital Navigator services.
Digital Navigator services include helping people become more tech-savvy through formal classes and one-on-one sessions, as well as assisting them in finding affordable Internet service and devices (such as computers and laptops) that are sufficient to meet their needs.
Applicants must be comfortable using and learning about the Internet and technology and helping others figure out how to use the Internet and technology to meet their goals. Training will be provided for the successful applicant, who will become a certified Digital Navigator under the Somerset County Library model. The library already has access to online learning modules and classroom teaching materials (slides, handouts, etc.) that can be customized as needed for use in teaching digital skills to others.
Starting Wage: $10.00 per hour, to be increased to $11.50 per hour on the first day of the pay period following 1. successful completion of basic training in the administration of and the provision of technical support for the library’s fee-based Internet Lending service, and 2. receipt of written approval from partner representative(s) and the Somerset County Library Director as having received the required basic training.
Required Availability: Must work at least seven (7) hours per day for at least two (2) days weekly, Wednesday through Friday; Wednesdays and Thursdays preferred.
