STEAM Programs

Somerset County Library offers many opportunities to learn and apply STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) skills.  At least once a week, we turn the library into a STEAMnasium–a place to be coached on and exercise your skills in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

STEAM Clubs meet in the Library on Mondays at 6 pm.  STEAM Rollers is a club targeting ages 5-8 and STEAM Team is a club for ages 9-12.  We even sometimes have some teens drop in, and we’re considering starting a STEAM Punks Club that would be mostly run by them.

We also have special events such as “Maker Mania” nights where people of all ages can explore various STEAM toys and activities.

Story Time, Block Parties, the Summer Learning Club, and the Play K curriculum are examples of other library programs that often include STEAM-infused activities.

Check the calendar of events on our home page at https://somersetcolibrary.org for upcoming workshops, classes, camps, and other events.
