THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL AND REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!
On August 21, 2017, at approximately 1:10 pm EDT, the sun and moon will provide us with a rare and spectacular show. Our area will be able to view this partial Solar Eclipse that will last for almost 3 hours! To celebrate this event, the Somerset County Library will provide a program with informational guidelines, activities to coincide with the eclipse and charting the progress of the moon as it passes over the sun. Solar viewing glasses will be provided to all preregistered participants. The program will start at 12:45 and end at 2:00 on that day at the Library. Anyone who wants to stay for the entire eclipse viewing may do so. The eclipse is expected to be over around 3:55 for our area. If the weather doesn’t cooperate with us to view this event outside, there will be a live streaming of the eclipse inside at the library. To preregister for this exciting happening, complete the form below or email to email@example.com. Happy observing!
This event is fully booked.
