Both our main and branch library offer a Summer Learning Club for children where they can win prizes for reading and doing learning activities designed to keep their minds active over the summer. Fun programs and events for children and families help build basic, civil, health, and social literacy skills. This summer’s theme, Build A Better World, explores different types of engineering, construction, and other STEAM activities. The Summer Learning Club programs are free and open to children of all ages and abilities. Additionally, at the main Somerset County Library location, we will serve a hot lunch after each Friday Summer Learning Club program.
Additional Bonus Activities are available at the Somerset County Library this summer, made possible by a grant from the Somerset County Community Fund of the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies and donations from local individuals and organizations, such as the Somerset Welfare League. See the Summer Learning Club brochures for additional information.
